Ok, I’m still trying to catch up on our recent adventures, and am a bit behind. We are finally settled into our home and have somewhat reliable Internet (although the speed varies dramatically), we’ve past the holidays and now I no longer have an excuse for lagging on the blog.
On a clear day, we took a local trip (<1 hour drive) to Santa Maria Capua Anfiteatro. To our surprise, it was one of our favorite local stops. In the days of gladiators, it was one of the training colosseums for gladiators that also traveled to Rome, including the famous Gladiator, Spartacus! Unlike the Colosseum in Rome where most of it is inaccessible, this anfiteatre was open to explore. The boys were able to run through the catacombs underneath and climb on artifacts. So fun!
